Get Involved and Have Fun

If you like volunteering, Public Television and meeting people– you'll love being a WQPT/PBS Ambassador.

Students

This fun and rewarding experience offers regional college students hands-on experience by representing WQPT. Since 2004, the WQPT/PBS Ambassador program has provided more than 100 students hands-on experience in the fields of marketing, public affairs, event planning and much more. This invaluable opportunity allows students to gain real world experience while representing one of America's must trusted brands—Public Television.

Ambassadors are a highly trained extension of the WQPT volunteer force. Students have fun engaging with the public in a variety of settings like Imagination Station and other station events and activities. Apply today

"WQPT understands the importance of being active in the community and that it can be difficult to do so with a very small staff.  WQPT relies on Student Ambassadors to represent WQPT in its community to build reading, science and math skills through WQPT programming.  The Student Ambassadors bring the best resources from PBS Kids to the Quad City region through workshops, school visits, library activities and special events.  These resources provide support for parents, teachers and caregivers who touch the lives of children and strengthen the community's future."
