A. Western Illinois University holds the broadcast license to WQPT PBS. Though WQPT PBS is an entirely "self-funded department (within) the University structure and (is) responsible for generating its (own) revenue needs." For simplified bookkeeping and legal reasons, transactions may appear as WIU Foundation. Rest assured that your donation is designated solely to WQPT PBS.
A. To save money for the quality programming you expect from WQPT PBS, we print and send out renewal notices in bulk. This means that it takes several weeks for a renewal letter to get to you. As a result, your renewal gift and our letter probably crossed in the mail.
A. Because your support is so vital to WQPT PBS, we start sending out renewal notices in advance of your membership's expiration. If you renew early, you will still get a full year's membership; your membership will be extended for a full 12 months from your current expiration date.
A. If you just joined WQPT PBS, you should receive your first program guide on or around the first of each month. It may take a few weeks to receive your first issue of the guide, depending on the date we received your donation, regardless you will receive 12 issues.
