Members of the public watched as the procession made its the journey through central London and reached Westminster Hall for lying-in-state. The procession included King Charles III, Prince William and Prince Harry, and other senior royals were in attendance.
Watch King Charles III and his three siblings, the Princess Royal, the Duke of York, and the Earl of Wessex, as they stand vigil at the lying-in-state in Westminster Hall on Sept. 16. Known as the Vigil of the Princes, they previously stood watch as the Queen lay at rest in St. Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh, with Princess Anne becoming the first female royal to take part in this ceremonial vigil.
Watch King Charles III visit Wales on Sept. 16, completing his first official visits to all four nations of the UK as king. The King and the Queen Consort attended a service at Llandaff Cathedral and later visited the Senedd’s Siambr, the main debating chamber, in Cardiff Bay. The King then shared a private audience with Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford at Cardiff Castle.
