Auction items may be viewed before the on-air portion of the auction. Participants simply register to bid online. It’s simple. Rather than calling in and talking to a volunteer, participants may bid using their phone so bidders can watch and bid in real time.

“As a way to generate added funding of our Educational Outreach and programs, The Auction at Your House was a means to reinvent our Champagne on the Rocks gala fundraising event during the pandemic. We took a look at our history and decided to bring back The Auction is at Your House,” said Dawn Schmitt, WQPT PBS General Manager. She went on to add, "we're grateful for the donations from more than 100 donors."

Featured items include artwork by Spike O’Dell, an autographed football from Chicago Bears defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad, a Hot Glass platter and a necklace from Inspire Design Jewelers.

"Over the station's many years, we've had televised auctions (featuring an Auction store at Southpark Mall in Moline). We were an early adopter of online auctions (Bid & Win), followed by Champagne on the Rocks gala event featuring live and silent auctions. Whether in person, on-air or online, our auctions have always been exciting for viewers and regional residents—they also been an integral part of our fundraising efforts," continued Schmitt.
